Il couvre une plage de fréquence de 9 kHz à 3,3 GHz, permettant des essais depuis la basse fréquence jusqu’aux bandes micro-ondes inférieures. La résolution en fréquence de 0,1 Hz assure un réglage précis, adapté aux mesures exigeant une grande finesse d’ajustement.

L’appareil est équipé d’un atténuateur électronique à commutations rapides, facilitant les changements de niveau sans instabilité mécanique. Le bruit de phase est spécifié à < −122 dBc (1 Hz) à 1 GHz pour un offset de 20 kHz, garantissant une bonne pureté spectrale.
Il prend en charge des modulations AM, FM et phase, ainsi que des modulations de pulses en option.
Une option OCXO haute stabilité est disponible pour améliorer la précision de la base de temps. La fonction vobulateur permet des balayages en fréquence pour des applications de caractérisation.
